Full description
Enjoy this all-inclusive self-guided kayak and snorkel package at He'eia State Park. You may opt to arrange your own transportation to the park, or select the transportation included option to take advantage of shuttle service from most Waikiki area hotels. No matter which option you choose, after checking in at the park, you'll be given a waterproof dry bag for your things as well as a place to safely leave valuables onshore. Then all you need to do is put on reef-safe sunscreen, suit up, and get ready to hit the water.

Kane'ohe Bay is protected from the open ocean current and swell by Oahu’s only barrier reef, making it a safe and idyllic paddling and snorkeling destination for all ages and experience levels.  You'll be given a waterproof map of the bay and an expert briefing from our trained staff on the local conditions, where to go, where not to go, and what to look out for. Then your kayak and snorkel gear will be set up on the water's edge, ready for you to explore the bay at your own pace. Choose your own adventure, but don't miss out on the famous "Sunken Island" Kane'ohe Sandbar and the unique patch reefs found only in Kane'ohe Bay. The Bay is home to the healthiest coral reef on Oahu, as well as countless sea turtles, tropical fish, and three different species of Rays.

After approximately three hours on the water, return to land where a delicious Hawaiian style BBQ lunch awaits you. Savour a delicious meal while enjoying the views overlooking the Bay. This tour is nonprofit and proceeds allow Kama'aina Kids to fund He'eia State Park. Thank you for supporting the park.
