Kendwa: Introductory Scuba Dive on Tumbatu Island

Embark on a half-day adventure through the Indian Ocean with this introductory scuba dive. After a thorough explanation of scuba diving equipment and the skills you’ll need to dive successfully, hop on the boat to head into the open waters. The waters surrounding Tumbatu Island are home to a diverse array of tropical marine life that group around the technicolor coral reefs; keep your eyes peeled for moray eels, cuttlefish, turtles, and if you’re lucky, dolphins or massive grouper. After some exercises to get you more comfortable breathing underwater, your expert instructor will lead you down beneath the surface to fully explore the environment below. After your dive, you’ll head back to the dock, having experienced a world only visible via scuba diving.
Your instructor will explain the basic rules of scuba diving and will take you for one dive in the open ocean where you will practice a couple of basics skills, followed by a tour around the reef. Zanzibar offers many picturesque coral reefs and marvelous sea life for you to explore. Don’t miss this incredible experience. Don’t worry, it’s weird at first, but soon breathing underwater will become second nature to you.
