Nottingham Castle has played many roles throughout the city’s history and is now an elegant Ducal Palace filled with exhibitions and galleries. Come and see for yourself with an admission ticket that allows you to explore the newly landscaped grounds, tunnels, art collections, and more.

Immerse yourself in the legend of the outlaw Robin Hood with an optional experience that recreates medieval Nottingham and mixed-reality activities, including a longbow competition and sparring with a quarterstaff.

Explore the collections of fine and decorative arts, from medieval alabaster to contemporary photography, Nottingham lace to ceramics and oil paintings. Take some time to view the inspiring program of world-class temporary exhibitions as well.

Younger visitors between 7 and 12, can head to Hood’s Hideout, the medieval-themed adventure playground, a perfect place for imaginations to run wild.

It was a lovely warm sunny day when we went which I am sure added to the experience. The galleries were interesting and we had fun doing archery practice and other interactive games. It was great seeing the party of well behaved school children enjoying their trip.
