A scenic fifteen minute Seabus ride from Vancouver’s Waterfront Centre will bring you to Vancouver’s North Shore and the famous Lonsdale Quay market and newly developed Shipyards District, a vibrant waterfront area. On this 3 hour walking food tour you savour a delicious culinary experience as you will be taken around to local market merchants and the surrounding, vibrant Shipyards District by the waterfront, showcasing a wide range of cuisines. You will savour some tasty food and enjoy the scenic waterfront views and vibrancy of North Vancouver's local community, while our fun and engaging storytelling tour guides will ensure you have a fun and entertaining afternoon.

Meeting location: Meet tour guide at 1:15 pm inside Waterfront Station, main hall by Starbucks, 601 W Cordova St, Vancouver. Note that this tour includes a short 12 min scenic ferry ride on the Sea Bus ferry (public transportation, 12 min each way, return ticket included in the tour) to Lonsdale Quay, North Vancouver. Tour guide escorts on ferry both ways. You will receive Sea Bus ferry tickets from your guide at meeting location. Sea Bus leaves at 1:30 pm so please be on time 15 min prior. If you are late: Please call so you can get assistance getting in touch with your tour guide. No refunds for ferry ticket purchase if late.

The food tour in North Vancouver was just awesome. Great selection of starters, main course, dessert and drinks. The guide was great.

Food tour highlites mini veggie sticks immersed in a saffron sauce covered in a mozzarella mound, a pizza delight. Next stop the fish market pass tray of dried smoked salmon morsels marinated in teriyaki, maple syrup and lathered in hot spices. We meandered over to the wine bar for a cab sav and merlot tasting then we exited the building to view pictures and tablets of yesterday’s shipbuilders. Up the street to the ice creamery a fav in the area...notice the veggie boxes along the way...easy pickings! Final stroll to the art wall for a quick pic with the family to remember our visit. The sweetest surprise was the aroma emanating from the warm bun shop...the buns are filled with coconut, chocolate and maple syrup. It’s a must stop and my favorite. Add another experience by taking the Seabus from downtown Vancouver to North Vancouver. The Shipyard tour is appealing to all ages, offers variety, shipyard history, and a tasting of the areas foods.
