We enjoyed the day out with the fat bikes seeing the locations Van Gogh painted during his lifetime. You need to be quite flexible in the hips to get on and off the bikes (getting your leg over the seat) as the bikes were not step through. But once on them they were comfortable and easy to use. The online app used together with google maps supported ease of finding the locations which were all beautifully situated. But you need a good smartphone. The phone holder looks like it won’t hold the phone but it does work although I would’ve preferred a quad lock (which I know would mean you need a quad lock phone case) but it would hold the phone still and secure. We walked to collect the bikes (they’re literally on the front drive of a residential house) but you could get a bus to Stilletto which cost around 2 euros. The host is lovely very helpful and friendly and speaks perfect English. The cost includes admission to the Van Gogh museum in Nuenen which is worth a visit.

We went to Kinderdijk and Dordrecht without any problems. First we went to the departure point specified in the Ticket. We boarded from the blue flag waterbus pier, just to the right of Erasmusbrug. After getting on the sea bus, we had our ticket read by the attendant. Waterbus departure times are written on the pier here. After stopping at a few stops, we got off at Kinderdijk. We visited this place and came back to the same pier to go to Dordrech. However, you cannot go directly from here. It is necessary to make a transfer. From the same pier, you can get on the smaller green boats, go to Ridderkerk and then take a waterbus again to Dodrech. We paid 2 euros per person when going to Ridderkerk. From here we went to Dordrech. There is a map and departure times at each station. We were very pleased. It was a very nice and comfortable journey.

A nice museum with an excellent overview of the time at the camp. Very impressive too. Especially the crematorium. Highly recommended to go.

It was nice. The boat safari wasn’t on but this could’ve been put on the website earlier. Then we could’ve changed the date. Rest was nice

The only regret we had was that we we did not have more time to take in this powerful experience. Well done and informative!
