    1. Private Mont Saint-Michel Family Walking Tour

See the highlights of the fortified village of Mont Saint-Michel, built on an 83-meter high cliff of pure granite. Learn the history of the settlement, from 708 AD when the Archangel Michael is said to have made an appearance and ordered a monastery be built on top of the rock. Enter the medieval village and walk to the abbey listening to stories about the island's history along the way. Discover how it became a strategic stronghold for the Bretons and French, and how it resisted invasion from the English during the Hundred Years' War. Go to the historic dungeons, and discover a mix of religious and military architecture in different styles.

we had an excellent lady guide, Mrs Gaëlle Lotton, who not only knew the History of the place perfectly well, but also how to tell it in an entertaining and interesting way. Despite the Covid-restrictions in place, we enjoyed our visit thoroughly (the more so as for once there were less people around, the masses of tourists during the summer normally being somewhat overwhelming)

A top guide who listens to her clients! An excellent moment which had started badly with a delay of 15 minutes ...... but totally compensated by the professionalism and the kindness of the guide ... it was perfect! I am used to private guides all over Europe, but this one is in the top 5!

The guide was attentive, cultivated, interesting. The Mont Saint Michel was crowded with people, without it, we would have made the visit by passing by lots of things.

An extraordinary experience with a guide whose name I unfortunately do not remember. The service may seem expensive but it is really worth it.

The Florence guide is extraordinary, knows a lot and has a great attitude of the best guides that have touched us.
