2. Noosa: Everglades Safari Day Cruise
Head out on a day tour across Lake Cootharaba, along the upper Noosa River, and up into the Noosa Everglades. Stop at historic locations and take casual walks near iconic heritage landmarks. Enjoy morning tea and lunch in one of Queensland's most stunning natural landscapes, known as the ‘River of Mirrors’.
Begin your trip with a boat journey over Lake Cootharaba before entering Australia’s Everglades. Make your first stop at Fig Tree Point, where you will have the opportunity to do a small 400m rainforest walk before entering the Everglades.
Take in the breathtaking views from the comfort of the boat whilst going upstream through ancient landscapes, mirrored waterways, and sub-tropical rainforests. Look out for the local birdlife that lives in the area such as pelicans, ducks, cormorants, eagles, and rare jabiru.
Relax and sip on morning tea served at the historic Harry’s Hut in the Great Sandy National Park. Return to Habitat Noosa and tuck into a chef-prepared hot roast lunch served in the Coothara BAR & Bistro. Admire the panoramic views of Lake Cootharaba while you eat.
Finally, return to Noosa on a comfortable bus transfer.
