Our guide Yaqoob, did a great job in driving us around and showing us the places. We took time exploring Nizwa Souk.. this souk was better than Muttrah Souk, made it to look ancient. The sellers don’t bother you. Nizwa fort is unlike the regular forts. There is a bit of climbing involved. From the top we get an amazing 360 degree view of the town of Nizwa, the date trees plantations and the surrounding hills. The Jebel Akhdar is a drive is a drive through the mountains. There is no place to spend time at, but the drive is worth it. The mountains are unique. Birkat Al Mouz, the last place in the tour is a must visit. It can take about 30 minutes.

We had a great time with Yaqoob as our guide and driver. He gave us a lot of insights into Omani society and history of the different sights. We appreciated how he followed the itinerary and we didn’t feel rushed during the day. The sights we visited were also not busy. We had a small group (four of us) which was great. Despite not being able to have lunch at a restaurant due to Ramadan, we were still able to get lunch at a grocery store. We would highly recommend this tour to others.

This tour involves sightseeing rather than hiking. However, this was fine as it fills the whole day. There were only 3 of us on the tour, virtually private and very pleasant. The journey time in the car is very long, but the landscape is very nice to observe.

The guide was perfect, we had breakfast before taking the road to Nizwa. He is very patient and explains very well. I had a great day. I recommend with my eyes closed

He was our guide for two days and we learnt so much about Oman! I really suggest him if you really want to go deeply into the Omani culture
