Schöner Ausflug. Reiseführerin hatte exklusiv die Tour mit uns gemacht, da saisonal wenig Nachfrage. Herzlichen Dank. Leider war die Selimiye-Moschee und der Hafen in Girne wegen Renovierungen nicht bzwm schlecht zugänglich, was recht schade war. Bellapais war sehr bezaubernd. Hilarion war schön aber die vielen Treppen sehr anstrengend.

This was a great trip - Gemma was the tour guide and was easy company for the trip. The Northern part of Nicosia was good, as were St Hilarion and Bellapais. Kyrenia was nice but there was no real tour of it so it was very much like any other fishing village. In summary great trip which I would wholeheartedly recommend.

We had a great day with Cemaliye! We were picked up at the border and she showed us the Turkish site of Nicosia with all the stories. Then we drove towards St Hillarion and Cema already told lots on the way there. The castle is amazing!! Highest castle for me, very spectacular. Be prepared to climb some stairs ;) The monastery Bellapais is really well preserved! The entry fees were included, so just take your time to see all the history. Kyrenia was a bit of a turn off for us. Creepy restaurant owners who try to lure you, bad food, not much to see in the harbour. Definitely take more time to see all of the large Kyrenia-castle and the 2 museums inside (we missed one). Cema brought us back exactly on time and we stayed on the Turkish side the rest of the day.
