It was a good experience however the group was too big. 2 car load of 4x4 which is equivalent to around 30. We were split into 2 groups with one group English speaking and the other Italian. They did not keep track of the numbers and we were unable to keep up with the group without them even realizing. We did not continue and paid to take the 4x4 down to the cable car station and took the return ride down while those that followed all the way walked down from 3000m to take the cable car. In terms of safety i strongly felt that this is lacking. The guides should take count and be responsible for all and not make it as you go your way and i go mine type of tour. It is not an easy track with sub zero temperatures and icy terrain. Apart from that it’s really a great experience with the tour company providing all the hiking boots, tracking poles, safety helmets for this tour and jackets as well.

First of all, Eduardo our travel guide was excellent. He was knowledgeable and such a safe driver. He made all the difference in our experience being so informative and pleasant. He is a very safe driver. Eduardo was very sensitive and attentive to our needs. The trip to Mt. Etna and Taormina was perfect. Hiking was the best experience. There were times when me and my husband felt a little tired because of our inactivity the last few weeks but Eduardo built momentum slowly to make us feel acclimated. We had another couple in the bus who spoke Italian so he switched between English and Italian and that’s very tough to do but he explained every detail. The best part was a small tour into a cave. We found our experience very interesting and a good start to our journey into Sicily. Perfect score for Eduardo!!!

You can't currently go to the summit because of volcanic activity. It is mentioned in the offer that the tour may change because of this, but it would still be nice if the information about this was up to date in the offer. Especially since you haven't been allowed to go up for a few months. Incredible landscape, fire (lava) and ice in our case. Our guide Fabio was great, he lives and breathes his job as a volcanologist. Once you listen a little to the Italian and English, you understand almost everything. You might want to think about a German-language tour. We were out for 5 hours, you should have experience on uneven and slippery ground and also have a bit of stamina. It takes about 2.5 hours just to go up the mountain. The cable car was being repaired and so we were taken up in special buses.

Great ride, off-road and road, a good balance. Visit to a cave and explanations about Etna. Edouardo is a great guide. We recommend 😁

This tour was fantastic! I only wish we were here during the summer to be able to swim. Giovanni was so kind and knowledgable.
