This whole day trip was wonderful and you get to see a lot of places. Since the lavender fields weren’t in bloom we got to see the highest point of verdon gorge which was a nice treat. The stops weren’t very lunch to have a meal so I recommend just getting snacks or bringing food. There was time to swim in the lake at the end which was refreshing. You do spend a lot of time in the car but Roman was a great guide!

This was a fun day! A couple of comments—First, our guide was Chinese. He was a kind, helpful man who did his best to provide us a fun, safe day. But we didn’t learn anything about the area from him, and could barely communicate with him. I used Google to learn a little about the villages we stopped in. I was mildly disappointed to not have a guide who was knowledgeable about the area and fluent enough in English to share. Second, I had done a LOT of research on Verdon Gorge tours before going, so I thought I was fairly prepared but I will sum up here the top tips (including ones I never read from anyone else): 1. Bring a swim suit if you want to swim at the lake 2. Bring water shoes/flip flops for the lake; the beach and lake bottom are rocks. 3. Plan ahead if you get carsick 4. Communicate with your driver what is important to you — photos at the Gorge, time at the Villages, time at the lake. We had a very well balanced day because we communicated what was important.

Matt was amazing!! A proficient driver who clearly knows the roads well and the van itself was very comfortable. Matt provided a lot of valuable knowledge and tips along the way - his personality absolutely made the trip for us! Each stop was breathtaking and finished on a highlight - a pedal boat trip along the gorge. Loved this tour and definitely recommend!!
