Full description

Start your full-day shared group or private tour with a pickup from your accommodation in Nice and admire the famous Promenade des Anglais as you depart the city. With your guide, travel first to Castellane, a quintessentially-French, cultural village at the gates of the famous Verdon Gorge, and classified as a "city of character". Visit its ancient ramparts, and three listed monuments, including St. Victor's Church, the Clock Tower, and the Pentagonal Tower. Continue to the charming village of Moustiers-Sainte-Marie, listed as one of the most beautiful villages in France and part of the phenomenal Verdon Natural Regional Park. From here, make sure to snap pictures of the idyllic Provence setting complete with lavender fields, panoramic views of the surrounding rocky mountains, and the blue waters of the Lake of Sainte-Croix, the third largest lake in France. Finally, return to your accommodation in Nice after a full day of memorable sightseeing.

This is a must do day trip when coming to Nice! Not only do you get to see/swim in the stunning Verdon Gorge, you will also stop at landmarks and gems of nature, as well as some of the most beautiful villages in the world. Our guide, Nikola, was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, funny, and easy-going. He made our trip so worth it - thank you!

Great guide Mike, beatiful verdon george amd the lake. Lavender fields - its harvesting time now and we didnt see it. Programm and trip logo needs to be updated

Our guide was amazing (sorry I can’t remember his name, it started by J though!). Knowledgeable and engaging, an excellent driver as well. A bit disappointed about the lavender fields, which we couldn’t visit because of harvesting season. I’d suggest to advertise the tour in a different way if someone books it when the season is over (like in my case), please specify that there won’t be no lavender because the tour picture can be misleading as well. Besides that I would highly recommend it!
