Board an air-conditioned minivan outside your Nice hotel and sit back and enjoy a scenic 1-hour drive to Saint Jeannet. The drive will take you through the rolling landscapes of Provence's wine country. The tour duration is 4 hours. En route, your tour guide will provide an overview of the history and traditions of French winemaking. In Provence, the temperate Mediterranean climate and mineral-rich soil create ideal conditions for growing grapes. Varieties such as Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Grenache flourish in the warm sun. Stop to visit a wine cellar and experience the subtleties of the local wines during a tasting with the winemaker. You’ll be able to taste a variety of wines. Next stop is Saint Paul de Vence, the second-most visited village in France and the jewel of Provence. The stunning walled village has been home to numerous artists, including Renoir, Chagall and Picasso and many film stars as well.

We had an excellent day! Our guide Thierry was great, and gave us lots of information on the area, and gave us clear instructions on how to get around and when to meet back up. The wine tasting was great, the scenery was amazing and overall it was such a fun day!

This tour was great! The tour of St. Paul-de-Vence came highly recommended by friends, family and locals so we knew we had to get there and it was a wonderful little town up in the mountains that we otherwise wouldn't have seen. This aspect of the tour took about and hour and then we headed to this small winery that was absolutely beautiful. The owner of the Chateau is a lovely woman (and husband but she performed the tasting) who had lots of information and passion about the wine world, particularly in Rose which was fascinating. We tried a range of different colored wines and it was very interesting learning about the history as we went along. In addition our driver/ tour guide was wonderful and she brought along a trainee for our trip and both of them were very knowledgeable about France, wine, olives, language, etc. and were excellent company for this trip! Would definitely recommend!

A highlight of our trip. Thierry was an excellent guide. The visit to Saint Paul de Vence was a great bonus and the wine tasting was informative, in a beautiful location and the wine was lovely!
