Full description

Embark on a whale-watching adventure off Newport Beach, CA and look out for a variety of whales, including humpback whales and blue whales. Observe marine life in the wild and admire the Newport-Laguna coastline. On these year-round cruises off Newport Beach, many whale varieties are regularly seen including the giant blue whale (summer and fall), finback whale, grey whale (winter and spring), minke whale, and humpback whale. Several types of dolphin, seals, and all sorts of other marine life are typically spotted on the excursions as well. The cruises depart from Newport Harbor, located in the heart of Orange County, which is just a short drive from both Los Angeles and San Diego. Each cruise is a unique experience as you may never know what you might encounter. A recent cruise encountered a pod of more than 30 killer whales, including adults and their young, making for a whale watching adventure of a lifetime. The cruises enjoy a 96 percent success rate viewing whales and/or dolphin.

Driving directions: From Los Angeles, take 405 South to 55 South. The Freeway ends at Newport Boulevard. Stay on Newport Boulevard to Main Street and turn left. We are in the Balboa Pavilion building at 400 Main Street. Parking in the Balboa Pier municipal lot: This large outdoor lot is located on Palm Street. While you are driving down Balboa Boulevard toward our location, you will make a right turn onto Palm Street. Once parked, walk to the base of the pier and turn your back to it. Walk away from the pier straight down Main Street. The activity provider is located in the Balboa Pavilion building next to the Harborside Restaurant and Grand Ballroom.

Alles in allem war der Ausflug recht schön ... und wir haben tatsächlich Wale gesehen. Ganz kurz und sehr weit weg allerdings. Schade. Auf der Rückfahrt konnten wir noch Robben sehen, das hat etwas entschädigt. Allerdings war es recht schwierig, die Sammelstelle zu finden. Ich hatte erwartet, eine Flagge oder irgendwas von getyoutguide zu finden - das hätte die Suche vereinfacht.

I thought I was going to have a disappointing trip when 1 hour and 20 minutes into the trip, there were no sightings. But our tour guide was willing to go over the tour time, just so we can have the experience, and of course 20 minutes before the tour ended, we saw hundreds of dolphins and some sea lions.

Fue fantástico a mis hijas les encantó y el precio genial. Fueron muy amables a pesar que llegué tarde por el trágico mi barco ya había salido y los de la oficina me dieron a escoger si quería pasarlo para otro día ò si había espacio el mismo día en otro barco me lo podían dar y fueron muy amables.
