Full description
Discover hidden knowledge behind some of the famous monuments of Central Park. Your walking tour will relate to stories behind such sites as the Bethesda carvings, the Angel of the Waters fountain, swill milk, Phrenology, a blind mule, and much more. This adventurous walking tour is one of three in a series entitled “Secrets of Central Park”. Each 2-hour tour begins at 2:30PM daily, and explores either the South, Middle Kingdom, or North sections of Central Park individually. Each walking tour unlocks secrets and juicy stories around the development and growth of this iconic New York City landmark. Time will also be given to the founding, development, and cultural influences of Central Park's past and present. All these tours were developed and are led by Manhattan local, Lyall Croft. Croft is a former Central Park employee, historian, educator, and professional licensed guide with more than 15 years' guiding experience.
