What People Are Saying About New York
We were disappointed in the portal aspect of this event. When looking at the website, it led us to believe that you would really be able to sit on a glass enclosed area that would be like sitting on air over the city. Next time, I will get tickets to the museum as well. Loved the area where the north and south tower stood. Very moving and tastefully done. God Bless all who lost their lives!
Very interesting and fantastic well performed exhibtion. I was so moved by every part of it.
This was the most hoped for exhibit to be memorable, but instead, it was the least emotional. Big cold empty spaces /walls with few really meaningful exhibit items or stories. When you walk in and hear the voices/see the words of people telling you where they were when the buildings were hit, you become emotionally connected - as we all remember where we were. They should have followed with TV film footage on screens showing the actual event, the panic, the fright, the disbelief; the professional rescuers and all the good samaritans and all those incredible stories. Where were they? Young people under 18 yrs will not understand or feel the horrible impact of it all. I was very disappointed. The best building of all is the Oculus by Spanish architect Calatrava- the white dove of hope and peace rising out of the "ashes" of 9/11. It was beautiful!
We had been to the top of the Former World Trade Center Twin Towers, several times. This was a healing activity. My husband is a former police officer and was very impressed with the security prodedures and police presence. We will reccomend this experience to all people we come in contact who are inquiring what to do in the Big Apple.
I absolutely recommend to all my friends who are willing to visit empire state & the rest of the tour.
