Your day will begin with an early morning departure from Times Square in Manhattan, where you’ll be greeted by your bilingual tour guide for the day. After 4-5 hours, your first destination will be the nation's current capital, Washington, DC. Once there, visit the Iwo Jima Memorial and the Lincoln Memorial.

During the tour, stop for a classic outside view of the White House, home and office of the U.S. President, and the Capitol Building, home of the U.S. Congress. Your visit to Washington concludes with free time for lunch on your own. Your next destination, after a 3-hour journey, will be the first-ever U.S. capital, Philadelphia, PA. Visit its historic Old City neighborhood and the Independence National Historical Park where your guide will lead you on a brief walking tour. Then, ascend to the top of the Rocky Steps before returning to Times Square in Manhattan.

I recommend this day trip to anyone who wants to get a taste of these two cities without taking up too much time in New York. Of course, time is short and distances are many, but with Alicia's guide we were able to see the main monuments and receive lots of information. I would propose to add a visit to some other Washington memorial since there were so many near the monuments we visited, and it was a real shame not to be able to photograph them even quickly.

Absolutely recommended tour! We were a little scared by the bus hours but it was worth it! Alicia the guide was really good, very clear explanations in Spanish and English. Little time to visit both cities but you can still see the main sites. Right stops for food and service. Comfortable bus. The only flaw that could ruin the day: at the meeting point at 5 am near Times Square, the bus was not manned and a rather annoying homeless man managed to sneak onto the bus with us already above. As soon as he noticed my partner went down to tell the guide that he was scanning the passes just near the entrance door. Once the homeless man was told to get off the private bus he began to yell at my partner. Fortunately, the episode had no consequences. The bus entrance should always be manned by a driver and guide.
