Full description
Take a tipsy journey through the spirit trails of New York's underground watering holes. Your journey will feel like a discovery of hidden escapes from the hustle and bustle of midtown's tourism hub. Walk with your guide as you retrace the immigrant progress toward the American Dream during Prohibition. You will be guided to the location of one of New York's original speakeasies and told the tale of the period’s most notorious gangsters and infamous bootleggers. At your second location, you'll explore the catalysts behind Prohibition and focus on the women of the Gilded Age, and the movement that gave rise to an oil king. To round off our journey together, visit one of New York's most iconic bars where you'll hear the tale of the sudden demise of Prohibition.

What a great activity to do. It was our last night in New York and we enjoyed ourselves enormously. We went to Speakeasy and Prohibition bars that we would not have known about. Had some really nice cocktails and food. The guide was great knowing a lot about the topic and very friendly but also professional. We both a great time

Best activity I did in NYC! Went to 3 different speakeasy’s, with a great group of people. Ryan, our guide, was excellent, learnt loads about the prohibition times and he was really fun. Great night, especially as a way to meet people and see the nightlife as a solo traveller

I'm Japanese, so I had a hard time translating it. I didn't understand even half of it. However, I was able to enjoy the atmosphere of the bar and New York at cocktail night. Those who participated this time were treated well by the guide. Thank you very much. Everyone in Japan, even if you can't speak English, be brave and participate. People in New York are very kind.
