Arielle!! What an absolutely incredible evening. This was hands-down the best night we had in NYC. We visited three very cool speakeasies, each with its own distinct vibe, and all of them were so interesting in their own way. Walk with your guide as you retrace the immigrant progress toward the American Dream during the Prohibition Era. First, discover one of New York's iconic bars that traces its history back to the period of notorious gangsters and infamous bootleggers.

At your second location, find out more about the catalysts that sparked Prohibition. Find out more about the women of the Gilded Age, and the movement that gave rise to an oil king.

Finally, visit one of New York's most unique cocktail lounges where you will hear stories of the sudden and dramatic demise of Prohibition, and the resurgence of nightlife in the city in the following decades.

Meeting point

Meet on 8th Avenue between 49th Street and 50th Street outside the office building entrance of One Worldwide Plaza (825 Eighth Avenue). There is a bike rack in front of the building on 8th Avenue and a large American flag hanging from the building. The Carnegie Diner is visible on the opposite side of 8th Avenue. GPS and online maps may guide you to a side street, but the tour meets on 8th Avenue.
