Full description
As you sip your red and white wines, your knowledgeable wine ambassador will share tips on how to find great value on restaurant wine lists. With your small group, you will enjoy personal attention from your guide as you learn about wine history and wine's presence in the West Village.

Your tour begins at A.O.C., an authentic French bistro in the heart of West Village. With an extensive menu of classic French fare and an impressive wine list, A.O.C. is a delightful taste of France in New York City. You will be transported to the bustling bistros of Paris as you sample delicious French varietals and savor charcuterie and artisanal cheese pairings.

Your second stop will be Tio Pepe, a storied West Village restaurant that has been serving authentic Spanish cuisine for over 40 years. Opened in 1970 by Jimmy Sanz Sr., a Spanish-born restaurateur who immigrated to NYC in 1959, it’s still in the family and now run by his son Jimmy Sanz Jr. Throughout the restaurant, there is an aura of old-school authenticity, with past customers including The Beatles and Robert De Niro. You will feel right at home as an important piece of the Tio Pepe story.

The tour concludes after 2 hours, at which time you are free to stay for another glass, visit another nearby restaurant or lounge, or put your new knowledge to the test at any one of the West Village's fabulous wine shops.
