I’m a New Yorker and went to the original world trade center observation deck. This one is definitely much slicker, A little “Disney-esqur”, and much more commercialized. But the view is incomparable. And given the position of the new tower you feel like you’re hovering over the Hudson river at certain points. Also for vulnerable children there is no mention of 911 or why the tower came into being on any of the signage, etc. this is a real positive because you don’t want children questioning the safety of a building as they are going up to the hundredth floor. The elevator ride is very exciting, very fast, and the visuals within the elevator really add the element of anticipation. For New Yorkers and non-New Yorkers it’s a must see experience.
