Full description
Immerse yourself in the food culture of Little Italy on a 2-hour tasting tour, and visit 4 different venues in the famous New York neighborhood. Every venue you will visit is more than a century old, and the tastings will make up the equivalent of a 4-course lunch!

Start at Parisi Bakery, loved by Frank Sinatra for its prosciutto-infused bread. Then, visit the family-owned Alleva Dairy, where more than 4,000 pounds of fresh mozzarella and ricotta are whipped up each week at America’s oldest cheese shop.

Go to the oldest pizzeria in America at Lombardi's Pizza, and take a peek at their 106-year-old coal oven. Skip the lines (among New York’s longest since 1892) at Ferrara Bakery. Your guide will point out movie locations from blockbuster films, such as “The Godfather,” “Donnie Brasco,” “Mean Streets,” and “Sex and the City” along the way.

See the bootlegging depot from the days of Prohibition, discover a square named after New York’s first Italian detective, and peek inside St. Patrick's Cathedral to see where high profile weddings and memorials take place.

Hear stories behind the historic landmarks as you stroll, and learn more about the immigrant experience in turn of the 20th-century New York.

This was a really good tour. Be prepared to walk. The tour meeting place is at #8 Mullberry, across the street from the construction. If you want water or want to try italian coffee, you can purchase at the cannoli shop at #8 while waiting for the tour to begin. Enjoy.

There was a good deal of history, but the bang for your buck was off the charts. Booked it 12-2pm knowing that it would be our lunch, didn't cost much more than figuring lunch out on our own, food was excellent, history was good, guide was good, done a lot of trips in New York, some more memorable, but I would call it the best value I've had for sure, we linked it with the Catacombs tour in the same area right after, and they paired together perfect. I'm taking a niece to New York next year for 4 days and doing tours and what not as a graduation present, the tour I wish was available in this area would follow the immigration of the neigborhood, a morning tour focusing on the Irish, an noon/afternoon lunch tour focusing on the Itialan heritage, and a late afternoon early evening tour focuing on China town...I would pay good money for that one and wouldn't have to take subway or taxi connections between any of them
