Full description
During this ride, you will pass by many historical landmarks of Central Park on a horse-drawn carriage. This is the perfect activity for a romantic promenade, or a fun ride with friends and family. You can climb into a lavishly decorated carriage with plush seating for a ride through Central Park. With the clip-clop of the horse’s hooves in the background, you will visit the cascading Angel of the Waters Sculpture, see the John Lennon memorial, and circle the fountain at Cherry Hill. With a knowledgeable driver to regale you with tales of the park's past, you will cruise by the Dairy, where New York's children once came to get fresh milk. You can view the horses on the carousel, and pass by the statue of William Shakespeare. At the Bethesda Fountain and the Angel of the Waters sculpture, you can pause to snap memorable photos before you then head towards Cherry Hill. Surrounded by cherry and gingko trees, Cherry Hill’s carriage turn finds you where wealthy 19th-century New Yorkers showed off their fine buggies. You can head to the top of the hill and see the Imagine mosaic at Strawberry Fields, and the John Lennon memorial. You will clop by the English lawn-bowling court, admire the bronze statue of General William Tecumseh Sherman, the bust of Italian philosopher Giuseppe Mazzini. You can then enjoy the views of the legendary restaurant Tavern on the Green.

Really relaxing tour round Central Park. Clean carriage and warm blanket was useful in February. Colm and Ende were very knowledgeable about local celebrities apartments and film shooting locations and were willing to stop for photos as needed. Only downside was that it would have been significantly cheaper to walk up and ride, than to book in advance and there was plenty of availability off season (although probably a very different story in summer)

Fun experience and great for small kids. Our guide was very nice, but I wished for something a little more formal and "special." We were sort of standing around waiting for the other group to finish up and unsure when the guide was ready for us at the start, and we felt less "special" than we hoped, especially considering we had a very excited first grader with us. Then I had to be the one to ask for information about the park to get the guide talking. However, it was a pleasant experience and I'd do it again.

We so enjoyed our carriage ride through Central Park!

Was my first visit to NY! I’m 60 & had wanted to go to Central Park since I was a kid, had a great time walking through the park! The carriage ride was the best carriage ride I’d ever taken anywhere! I hope if DeBlasio still plans to take the carriage rides away that he rethinks it! One day I’ll return to NY & look forward to another carriage ride! Nice that citizens like Liam Neeson have some backbone to voice their opinion & support the people who provide the carriage rides, our guide was very good & made our ride the best part of my vacation!
