Explore the Brooklyn Museum located in the historic Beaux-Arts Building nestled in the Prospect Park neighborhood. Discover collections of art and artifacts which span 5000 years of human creativity from cultures in every corner of the globe.

Wander through the Ancient Egyptian Galleries that contain over 1,200 objects that include sculptures, paintings, pottery, and papyri. Visit The Mummy Chamber which is a special section that explores the rituals related to mummification and the Egyptian belief that the body must be preserved to ensure eternal life.

Discover the American collections, home to Native American art and artifacts, Spanish colonial painting, and 20th-century American painting, sculpture, and decorative objects. See how cultural ideas can transcend time and place and contemplate the complexity and dynamism of American cultural life.

Stroll through the Elizabeth A. Sackler Center for Feminist Art, which is dedicated to the study and exhibition of feminist art and is the only curatorial center of its kind. Of particular interest is The Dinner Party by Judy Chicago, an important icon of 1970s feminist art.

On display from July 1 2022 - January 29 2023, upgrade your museum admission to include access to Virgil Abloh: “Figures of Speech". Since the beginning of his career, the multidisciplinary work of late visionary artist and designer Virgil Abloh has reshaped how we understand the role of fashion, art, design, and music in contemporary culture.

Virgil Abloh: “Figures of Speech", developed by the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, is the first museum exhibition devoted to Abloh’s work, spanning two decades of the artist’s practice, including collaborations with artist Takashi Murakami, musician Kanye West, and architect Rem Koolhaas.

The exhibition features material from his fashion label Off-White; and items from Louis Vuitton, where he served as the first Black menswear artistic director. He is also well-known for designing Hailey Bieber's wedding dress.
