We had a 4-day pass and were able to see a lot during this time at a much lower price than normal. Without the pass we would probably have made a more relaxed program, but also seen significantly less. We definitely recommend the pass. However, you should think about what you want to see/do beforehand because you have to register for some events in advance (e.g. guided tours). Too bad the MET is no longer one of the attractions on offer. If you want to ride a bike, you should get there early, otherwise you'll have to wait in line (or go to other places, which will cost you extra). The lines at the attractions were bearable (mid-August). For some very nice attractions we didn't even have to wait at all. (Ground Zero we already knew the content of the film because we had seen/read it umpteen times on the news at the time ... we would not join the long line again.

Absolutely recommendable is the Empire State Building at night. And the Edge also offers a great view. You should treat yourself to a detour to Coney Island Beach. It's so refreshing to jump on the Atlantic Ocean after the city heat. The 9/11 Memorial or Museum is also worth a visit. Very moving and intense experience.

You don't have to doubt an attraction, you just go the ticket has already been paid. It is inconvenient that the app of the New York pass only works online and you therefore do not have to wait long for the card to be reloaded with 4G. An Offline mode would be nice, and we never managed to load the QR codes into the app that would have been handy, now we always had to take the paper printouts with us. We enjoyed the many offerings, and would definitely do it again if we were to visit New York again.
