Katy was our tour escort. Extremely knowledgeable as one of the street artist herself. It was fascinating to learn of the processes and time involved in creating these pieces. The fluidity and constantly changing street art was amazing. Bushwick is an eclectic neighborhood in Brooklyn well worth seeing for those looking to expand their New York trip highlights.

Great communicators

Thank you so much to the team at New York City Graffiti & Street Art 2-Hour Walking Tour. I had a problem with my initial booking and they could not have been more generous or supportive with their communication. The tour itself was fascinating and i loved that our tour guide was a local artist (thanks Caty). She brought to the experience a new perspective on the art and provided really fascinating food for thought about the exchange between different artists, different mediums, and their different motivations, and she showed us a terrific range of pieces. This is excellent value for money and sits as a wonderful complement to the formal galleries and museums of NYC.

a highlight of our holiday

no-one turned up to take our tour for 45 minutes. everyone was pretty cheesed off and freezing cold, but shortly after someone called the company a tour guide who lives nearby (Derek) turned up to save the day! we were really happy about how this turned out. Derek is a very interesting guy and was able to tell us loads about the local street art and its cultural context. He played music on a portable speaker to make connections clear and was really happy to answer questions and discuss the artworks in more detail. After the tour he walked around a bit more with my daughter and I & showed us more great art & cool places. Thanks Derek - ten out of ten for your tour! (And sorry about the stingy tip!)
