Shop Gotham blazed the trail for “special access showroom shopping” and ladies, this is where it all happens! The Garment Center "Insider" Shopping Tour takes you on a "behind-the-scenes" shopping expedition to the epicenter of the fashion industry. You will be escorted to six appointments – only Designer Showrooms not accessible to the public - to shop where department and boutique store buyers as well as fashion editors shop, and have access to WHOLESALE prices just like they do.
Shopping is for the current season and features designer apparel & accessories (handbags, belts, jewelry, scarves) at 50- 70% below retail. The designers we work with are a combination of household & exciting emerging names. Best not to come with an item in mind, but rather to shop and buy pieces you have never seen before and will be thrilled to have in your wardrobe.
On your Shop Gotham program, you will have the opportunity to meet a designer or two in their showroom, learn interesting tidbits about the fashion industry and the history of this fascinating district, and see iconic spots such as where the Project Runway contestants are housed. If there is a fabulous Sample Sale on the day of your tour, we will take you there!
