Full description

Pass by many historical landmarks of Central Park on a horse-drawn carriage. This is the perfect activity for a romantic date or a fun outing with friends or family. Climb into a lavishly-decorated carriage with plush seating for a ride through Central Park. With the clip-clop of the horses' hooves in the background, you will visit the cascading Angel of the Waters Sculpture, as well as many other famous sights in the park. With a knowledgeable driver to tell you stories about the park's past, you will cruise by the Dairy, where New York's children once came to get fresh milk.

View the horses on the carousel, and pass by the statue of William Shakespeare. At the Bethesda Fountain, you can pause to snap memorable photos, before you head toward Cherry Hill. Head to the top of the hill and see the Imagine mosaic at Strawberry Fields, and the John Lennon memorial. Clop by the English lawn bowling court, and admire the bust of Italian philosopher Giuseppe Mazzini. You can then enjoy views of the legendary restaurant, the Tavern on the Green.

The carriage ride was an absolute highlight in New York. The tour lasted just under 50 minutes with stops for great photos. Our driver told us interesting details and knew a suitable film for almost every location that was playing there. We found the starting point quickly. About an hour before the start, we got a call with the mobile number and the name of our driver. We didn't need the number. Just ask a driver for their name at the meeting point. They will help you quickly. Good to know: you can't make it through the whole park in 50 minutes. We weren't at the famous Bow Bridge. Nevertheless, the tour is highly recommended.

How do I begin!!!! It was truly beautiful. Our tour guide (Andy) was wonderful, professional and very attentive to our needs and comfort during our tour. He provided us with a blanket to keep us warm, as it was raining off and on. He pointed out the different locations where television and movie productions used the site as well as an historic overview of the park and the communities living around the park. We also saw a couple getting married in one of the gazebo over a small stream. At the end of the tour Andy allowed me to pet and feed his horse (Cynthia).

Although my husband has been to NYC many times, this was my first time in NYC. As exciting and adventurous as my trip to NYC was, one of my favorite things was going to Central Park. Not just going to the park, but going to the park on a horse drawn carriage and being able to see a good portion of the park while the guide narrated and outlined for us the history of the park and many things in it. It was one of the most thrilling and enjoyable activities I have ever been on. Lori our guide was fantastic, her carriage was clean and organized, and she was professional and friendly. We truly truly enjoyed our carriage ride and getting to know Lori and Milo... please pass this review on to her so she knows ... a must do in New York, if your love horse drawn carriage rides.. we will definitely be doing this again ....
