Covid-19 Update

Due to health and safety regulations, this itinerary may change. See Know before you go for the latest updates.

Step aboard the decks of an elegant 1920's-style yacht, for an educational architecture tour around Manhattan, hosted by architects and members of the American Institute of Architects New York Chapter (AIANY). Enjoy your trip through the Hudson, East, and Harlem rivers from the air-conditioned observatory, or wander to the outer decks for fresh air and sunlight. Circumnavigate the island of Manhattan, passing under all 18 bridges, while taking in the sites and architecture. Examine the visionary development of the waterfront memorials, get an update on the One World Trade Center, Downtown "Starchitecture", Jean Nouvel's 100 Eleventh Ave. condos, and classic icons of lower Manhattan like the Woolworth Building, Wall Street's art deco spires, and the Brooklyn Bridge. Marvel at New York's great engineering feats, such as the Harlem River's bridges: swing, lift, and fixed-span. Hear the story of postwar urban renewal and public housing along the East River and much more.

Beautiful old boat! Fantastic experience to see New York from the water and get some history. I read in the reviews prior to my booking that people talked which made it difficult to hear the speaker. Unfortunately this happened on my trip too. Despite being repeatedly shooshed they continued and so I missed a lot of information. Such a shame. Was still a great experience even though it was a rainy day. Not enough food though. We were told by the speaker that there was plenty of food so not to rush. But then there was none left! I advised the staff (the girl was a bit rude not being apologetic at all); thr young guy did well to perform a ‘loaves and fishes’ miracle but still not really enough to choose from. Great concept but just needs some fine tuning.

We had a spectacular time. From the moment we boarded the beautiful Manhattan II vessel. The boat was sparkling, clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The cruise was very special. The fact that we had perfect weather was great but I could see enjoying the trip even in the winter. Providing the appetizer tables with substantial snacks was a added surprise and we appreciated it. Our guide was the best - he was knowledgeable and kept us informed without being intrusive. I am a native NYer who relocated many years ago and my companions are Californians. This cruise is for EVERYONE. I haven't stopped talking about it and recommending it. I/will be back.

We enjoyed this yacht trip very much; a lot of information that you get to hear, the guide also answered the various questions that were put to him during the trip and let everyone present be part of it. Exchanging the voucher for the ticket also worked perfectly! Price performance ratio is very good!
