What People Are Saying About New Orleans
The cruise was very relaxing and enjoyable. We did the cruise only, not the one including lunch. There were some small plates, though, and they were great!
There was no courtesy or civility from those that work there. For ticket taking, they simply took the ticket. NO welcome aboard I am here to assist you, just "give me the ticket". Again there is no "put whatever items in your hand down remove your shades if you would like to, to take a picture", just quick snap a picture. NO please pose for the picture, just a snap of the picture. The male taking a picture of me, has the nerve to get an ATTITUDE, after he has snapped a picture of me with a water in my hand a purse in the other hand and shades on, my eyes. After I ask him what just took place, it went so quick I had no idea. He said I took a picture for you. I said "no, not with these items in my hands and shades on, could you please take another picture I can be willing to pay for, he took the picture with an attitude. The so called musicians playing jazz, NO WHERE near PROFESSIONAL music being played. Quite a bit of conversation NOT MUSIC went on, on the mic, the music played poor
The trip was very well organised, I had to take my confirmation to the ticket office and pick up the tickets then queued to get on. A very informative guide, plenty of seats and very relaxing cruise up the Mississippi. When we turned around the Jazz band started playing and the lunch was served. A good amount of food to choose from and lovely staff. Overall a fantastic trip and would recommend it to anyone going to New Orleans.
We booked to have dinner & cruise on the riverboat, well the boatride was great as for the dinner it sucked big time!! By the time we got to the buffet they ran out of potatoes, when they did nring them out they were cold, the fried fish was like rubber the beef was so well done you couldn't chew it & no gravy! The pork was dry too but you had some kind of sauce to make it at least taste like something. I went up to get coffee & desert..no cups! Bread pudding ok I would do the boatride again but NOT DINNER,!!
Captain explained sights thoroughly. Every one of the crew very cordial and helpful. It was a very pleasant and relaxing tour.
