New Orleans: Steamboat Natchez Jazz Cruise + Dinner Option

Great evening! Guide could have pointed out more buildings that we see in the sky line. Biggest question - is the dinner included or is this something you have to sign up for?

We booked the Natchez jazz cruise, would throughly recommend it, we booked the 6pm cruise. The band played for 1 hour before sailing. Got to learn alot about the history of New Orleans and the Mississippi, as we sailed down river, before turning back, with the band ( the Dukes )returning for another hour.

The rich history surrounding the NATCHEZ, it also being the only true steamboat on the Mississippi River. The views of the city were close to breathtaking, definitely enjoyed the views more once the sunset. The band was energetic and fun, enjoyed the jazzy tunes while enjoying the cruise. The food was tasty, one staff member seemed to not enjoying her day or was just simply “over it” but she was not rude. The gumbo also lacked flavor, I’ll have to say the Gumbo we were served was some of the blandest Gumbo I’ve ever eaten. This was the biggest/only let down of the entire experience. All the other offerings were delicious and tasty, but being in NOLA you’d think that’d be the mark that was hit. I WOULD book this trip again even with the bland Gumbo. Absolutely LOVED this experience!!! My Fiancé also loved the entire experience as it was our first time on a Steamboat cruise. A first for us both. Thank you for the memorable experience.
