Full description
Embark on a high-speed adventure through the swamps and marshes just 35 minutes from New Orleans and experience the amazing scenery by airboat. Slow down or stop to take pictures and get a personal tour from your local captain. Avail of airboats with stadium-style seating so that the person in front does not obstruct your view. Be amazed as alligators come so close to the boat that you can stare into their reptilian eyes! Encounter magnificent birdlife, including bald eagles, pelicans, ospreys and owls. Every tour is unique and you never know what will be around the next corner! Reach speeds of up to 35 miles per hour, propelled by a huge fan that blows air from the back of the boat in excess of 200 miles per hour. Even though we were drenched during the first part of the tour (from a heavy, sudden downpour), it was GREAT! Our boat captain was the best. I think his name was Jas. He was very knowledgeable and was a local guy who had played with some of the gators in the area since he was a kid. Would do the airboat tour again in a minute and would pay extra to make sure we had the same captain. Thanks for a great ride!

This was not something I expected to enjoy as much as I did. Captain Dave was knowledgeable about the swamp and you could tell he had a true bond with the surrounding ecosystem including its many creatures. We saw giant crickets, alligators and beautiful birds up close and he taught us all about the dynamics of the ecosystem as well as why preservation is so important. It was truly an incredible experience and one that I would absolutely recommend and would do again next time I visit New Orleans! Truly a once in a lifetime experience, highly recommend!!!

This was a great tour, we loved it! We saw a lot of gators, turtles and birds! Our driver was very good and fun! He was also very informative and lively. We also held a baby gator which was so fun to take pictures with, we would recommend this tour!
