Slow down or stop to take pictures and get a personal tour from your local captain. Avail of airboats with stadium-style seating so that the person in front does not obstruct your view. Be amazed as alligators come so close to the boat that you can stare into their reptilian eyes! Encounter magnificent birdlife, including bald eagles, pelicans, ospreys and owls. Every tour is unique and you never know what will be around the next corner! Reach speeds of up to 35 miles per hour, propelled by a huge fan that blows air from the back of the boat in excess of 200 miles per hour. The scenery was beautiful and the guide was knowledgeable and made the experience fun. I had expected to see a little more than just a couple alligators. The guy didn’t really go over a whole lot of information about the different types of animals that could be seen or the landscape. But overall it was a really fun experience.

We enjoyed the experience and learning more about the swamp and gators. The season has a large impact on the gator siting, so highly recommend do some research before booking the tour if that is your main purpose. We did it for the boat experience and hopes to see the gators, but left being educated about the gators and their habitats. Unfortunately, you have to be prepared for unforeseen circumstances, as ours was a engine value. However in no time we were back in business with little down time.

Captain Ernie was the best! Think we lucked up but it’s okay because it was kind of like a private tour and we seen so many gators. A few came to the boat to say hello...lol. The air boat I think was the best because we were able to go fast. If visiting the area make sure you add this tour to your list and ask for Captain Ernie!
