What to Expect
Visit the American section of town that was built to rival the architectural splendor of the Creole French Quarter on our walking tour. Your experienced tour guide will walk through New Orleans’s elegant Garden district which was once part of the plantation owned by Bienville, the founder of New Orleans.
Learn about the historic district known for its marvelous examples of Greek revival and Italianate architecture. The tour will bring you past homes of former Kings and Queen of Mardi Gras, as well as the home of the premier family of football the Mannings.
Your guide will then take you to the former residence of celebrated author Anne Rice, as well as the houses of Jefferson Davis and Toby’s Corner. Relax and enjoy light refreshments that are provided for you before visiting Lafayette Cemetery, one of New Orleans' Cities of the Dead. Here you will learn about the unusual above-ground burial system.

Know Before You Go
This is a walking tour on uneven sidewalks and streets, so please wear comfortable shoes! During warmer months, we recommend that you wear lightly colored clothing, caps/hats and umbrellas are also suggested.
The parking lot fee is approximately $11.00 to $13.00 for up to 4 or more hours unless it is a special event. When you pass Rampart St., you are in the French Quarter. Please allow for extra time due to heavy pedestrian and vehicular traffic in the French Quarter at all times.
