Full description

Your culinary tour of New Orleans starts where it all began—the banks of the Mississippi River. From here, witness the lifeblood of this region which brought new cultures, new influences and new ingredients to the USA through its ports.

Since breakfast is the most important meal of the day, indulge in New Orleans' most iconic breakfast pastry covered in powdered sugary goodness, the beignet.

Next, head up to the French Market, the site of America's oldest public market and a unique culinary space where you can grab a local bite to eat and meet some of the locale's colorful personalities.

From the French Market, embark on the picturesque streets of the French Quarter. Follow your guide to some of their favorite palette-pleasing spot, both classic New Orleans as well as delicacies you won't find outside Cajun country.

If you have an affinity for the spicier side of life, you'll love unleashing some Louisiana hot sauce. This is the birthplace of Tabasco, after all.

Get the chance to try a dish that sparks more controversy among chefs in New Orleans: gumbo. Learn how hundreds of years of history has shaped this recipe and how it varies from restaurant to restaurant.

Finish off with a sweet treat made from locally grown sugarcane and the region’s abundant pecans.

This was a fun and tasty tour. Angela was a fantastic guide, took the time to get to know the personal tastes of the individuals in the group, and was very knowledgeable. There is more than enough food at all the stops to be a compete meal. We sampled gumbo, jambalaya, boudin sausage, muffulettas and po’boys, beignets and pralines.

The tour was really fun and Holly, our guide was very nice and very knowledgeable. You eat a TON, so it's a great value. Only reason it's not 5 star, is because Frank's is absolutely disgusting. So filthy that sitting on the chairs was making me uncomfortable, let alone eating their food. It was so, so dirty. Like they hadn't really cleaned in 10 years. Super gross.

The tour was wonderful! Don’t make the mistake of eating before the tour like we did. My thought was the samples will b small and not enough to fill us up. Boy was I wrong! The samples were a pretty decent size and quite filling. Our guide Lauren was great! Very personable and easy going. She was also very accommodating to my non beef and pork eating husband and son. I forgot to mention that when I made the reservations but she was able to appease them by coming up with different food options to suit their needs.
