you want to make sure you are towards the front of the line so that you can get a good table when you get into the dining room. apparently some people could reserve a table, didn't know that was an option, so there were limited tables by a window. you can watch the jazz band play on a tv screen from inside the room while you eat and the food was delicious. got some historical facts as we were going as well. very pleasant trip.

The boat was beautiful and the guide told good stories about the Mississippi. The bar tenders were good and the drinks were not watered down. We did not book the lunch because we went to brunch before the boat ride. The food did not look very appetizing so we were happy with our choice.

The cruise was enjoyable. We didn't do the lunch package but we sat on deck the whole time and enjoyed the sun and the history along with a beverage or two. I recommend highly if you want to take a relaxing and old time cruise, enjoy the history and be able to say you were on an original steamboat! The only recommendation I'd make is that maybe a more entertaining tour documentary would be better. The guide was a little monotone and we lost attention after a while. Especially for those of us who aren't having a meal and are on the boat for the history and knowledge of the river.
