Marvel at the sweeping front porches, turrets, cast-iron balconies, colonnades, 30-foot columns and double-pitched roofs. Follow in the footsteps of the authors, poets, movie stars, artists and sports legends who have made the Garden District their home. Be mesmerized by the towering Southern live oak trees, magnificent Crepe Myrtles and stunning magnolias that can make walking through the neighborhood feel like walking through a fairytale. Learn the rich history of the area and how it fits into the overall story of New Orleans. Hear about the jealousy and mistrust that led to the "new money" of the "garish" Americans trying to show up the splendor and glory of the "old money" Europeans on the other side of town. Visit the city's oldest municipal cemetery at Lafayette #1 (outside only), and discover where so many famous movies and TV shows have been shot. We had the luck of having Jeremiah as our guide. We thoroughly enjoyed all of the history in the stories he told us about what we experienced on the tour, and were very grateful for the pace at which he kept the tour going. The Garden District is absolutely stunning, and in our opinion an absolute must-see. Hopefully you can get Jeremiah as your guide because again - he was totally great!

The garden district tour was my favorite in NOLA! That probably has to do with our tour guide, Lee. Extremely knowledgeable about the homes, architecture, the area, and it’s history. It was educational and so much fun thanks to him! We liked his stories so much we booked another of his tours specifically!

My husband and I loved the tour. Our tour guide Jeremiah was very helpful and knowledgeable. He explained to us about the architecture of the Garden District and showed us many cool landmarks. He also told us how to get to the American Horror Story TV show Coven. It was so awesome. We did take a 10 minute break half way into the tour.
