We toured during mid-Feb on a girls trip to escape the Ontario winter, and easily is a highlight for all of us. The tour starts calmly at Destrehan. We learned a lot about the history, while getting an in-depth tour of the grounds and home. Great gift shop, accessible restrooms, and lots to see during your free time. Then the swamp tour with Louisiana Tour Company. Our captain - Dewey - was hilarious, hands-on, and the King of the swamp. He made sure everyone got to see the sites and then get up close with the wildlife - Gators! The kids and adults alike were as excited as a monkey. Staff and Gran Gran's gift shop were excellent - we recommend the hoodies and ask to see their nails! Transportation was on time and steady on the road, though speedy at times. I'd pack a light snack (some chips and bean dip?) We learned so much and had a great time. We will always remember this trip and think to ourselves: "was that at the swamp?"

What an amazing day trip. Very easy to book and Donna our driver was very informative and friendly. The Oak Alley Plantation was incredible to see. Billy our air boat driver was fantastic and was full of information on the swamps and animals etc. Can’t recommend enough.

Guests need to know that airboat guide and plantation guides all want cash tips, along with the tour guide. That is 4 different people to tip! We did not bring much cash and were caught off guard.

It was a great experience and the trip was fun! To the alligators and raccoons in the swamp to the beautiful lined up trees in Oak Alley, it was an amazing day!

The guides were amazing. The plantation was absolutely stunning. BamBam our bus driver was funny, and gave tons of information.
