Albuquerque: Rio Grande Valley Hot Air Balloon Ride

1. Albuquerque: Rio Grande Valley Hot Air Balloon Ride

Your adventure begins at the launch site. Become a hands-on crew member and help with the balloon inflation, or just sit back, observe, and take pictures as the gentle giant comes to life. Embark upon a unique journey at lift-off. Enjoy breathtaking views of the Rio Grande Valley while floating in the sky and sending greetings to earthbound folks below. Certified pilots will navigate the flight with your safety and enjoyment in mind. During your 1-hour ride, your pilot will answer any questions that you might have and identify local points of interest. The actual time in the air is approximately 60 minutes, but you should plan to spend up to 3.5 hours on your entire ballooning experience. The chase crew will follow the balloon while you’re flying and meet you at the landing site. You can then help pack up the balloon. After the balloon is loaded into the truck and trailer, you will board the van and head back to the launch site. Back at the launch site, enjoy a celebratory toast to end your safe and memorable adventure. You will be presented with a flight certificate and balloon flight pin to commemorate your aeronautical experience. Make sure you bring your camera.

What people are saying about New Mexico

Informative commentary, reasonably well paced, saw places we hadn’t seen before. Be aware that the Loretto Chapel is an overpriced, privately-owned operation that sells holy water in the gift shop.

My trip to Santa Fe was greatly enhanced with this guide. The walking directions were super clear and and information fascinating.

It was great and informative after we figured out you actually needed two different apps downloaded.
