What people are saying about New Delhi
We took the Delhi to Agra one-day trip on March 2nd 2020. The excellent (!) driver Jitender picked us up at our hotel and took us to Agra in a neat and comfortable car. On the way he stopped several times to let us have a quick glance at some landmarks in Delhi - we really enjoyed that! The ride to Agra took about 3 hours in total and we added a quick stop for breakfast and a coffee somewhere along the way. Once we reached Agra we met our guide Arif, who took us to the Taj Mahl, the Agra Fort and a craftsmen demonstration of Indian marble and inlay art. Arif was very energetic and we enjoyed our time with him very much. He took a lot of pictures, knew a lot of good spots to take pics and was very knowledgeable about the sights as well. We had lunch at a pretty fancy place for Indian standards and it was also really delicious! At the craftsman's stop we were not pressured to buy anything, but we just had a look around and listened to the demonstration.
Great tour of « hidden gems » in Delhi! If you are looking for beautiful green spaces to get away from the hassle and traffic, this tour is perfect. It includes visits to the newly refurbished botanical garden (Sunder nursery) and the Archeological Park, both beautiful and big green spaces. We also visited an art colony where we had lunch in a super nice restaurant with a garden and could buy locally made « recycled » souvenirs. Finally, the street art was a great walk in probably the quietest street of Delhi with nice architecture. All in all, great tour of the less explored landmarks in Delhi. For me it was the perfect combination of walking and a bit of driving. Finished the tour satisfied I have seen a lot of things without being exhausted. Really enjoyed it especially in the company of our lovely guide Dikshika from Urban Adventures!
Had a great time on my tour today. I was a bit confused initially because i had thought i had signed up for a group tour, not a private tour but it was ok. The taj experience was made very easy with everything sorted for me. The driver turned up on time and made bathroom/coffee stops whenever i wanted. The tour guide was good, especially because he offered to take pictures for me (pictures are hard when you are alone). The only downside was being taken to the artist workshop - i dont like being pressured to buy things and this wasn’t part of the advertised tour.
I had a great time! Both, the Driver, Ajay and tour Guide, Arif, were really good and supportive. Arif had excellent knowledge about Agra history and also helped me taking great pics! - he knows all the good spots for shooting =) Ajay was very kind and also shared a lot of interesting information Regarding Indian culture. Drove safely all the trip which is quite long.
We had Ajay Singh as our driver and Ricky as our guide. both were knowledgeable about India and Taj Mahal. Ricky knows all the best photo spots. He also met our special request to take photos on a boat. All in all a great experience. I could have done without the marble store visit at the end but I get this is par for the course on many of these types of toursn
