Full description

Discover the rich variety of Indian cuisine on a guided street food tour through Old Dehli. Each region of India has its unique street food and Delhi is no exception. Visit the top vendors in Old Delhi and try the local specialties such as chole bature, dahi bhalla, and aloo chat. Enjoy parathas, lassi, and the very sweet jalebis and the local equivalent of rice pudding and bread and butter pudding. All of these dishes are vegetarian but meat eaters will have the option to try Indian fried chicken in the buzzing Matia Mahal neighborhood toward the end of the tour. In addition to sampling the best of Old Delhi’s street food, explore the largest spice market in Asia, take a stroll along Chandni Chowk, and stop to admire the imposing Jama Masjid. Take in the hustle and bustle of the narrow streets as you visit different locations by rickshaw.

I’m very pleased to see so many vegetarian options, usually I am the only one on the tour and we have to find something to accommodate. This time I was able to have everything and the others had to adjust! Stanley was wonderful and very good about answering all of our questions. Highly recommend.

Its an excellent way to get a taste of Delhi. The guide is helpful, informative and super kind. We visited 7 spaces by metro, riksha, and walking. You can taste different but authentic food. The food was absolutely safe. I was alone on the tour, so it took only 2,5 hours.

We were the only participants that day, so it was a private tour for us. Our guide, Stanley, was very friendly, forthcoming and extremely knowledgeable, we could ask him everything about everything. Moving through Old Delhi by different means of transportation is definitely an experience, but one I personally wouldn’t dare to make without the company of a local. All the food was extremely delicious & not too spicey for Western palettes, and there was a lot! We went to six different locations trying a wide variety of snacks, a seventh one was closed so we had to skip it, but that was totally fine. Definitely highly recommended tour for everyone who wants to try New Delhi street food and eat a bit more like a local, but still be safe when it comes to health & hygiene.
