Full description
This tour gives you a great introduction to the authentic old world charms of Delhi and helps you escape the nuisance of walking amongst the traffic. Meet your guide at the meeting point near Red Fort, then climb into a tuk-tuk, a modified version of the cycle rickshaw. Sit back and enjoy the views as you ride past the several colorful and busy bazaars of Old Delhi while your guide explains the important role that they play for the locals.  Your first stop is Jama Masjid, India's largest mosque. Spend some time walking around the red sandstone courtyard and if you are lucky, you can even climb up a minaret to see the views. Return to your tuk-tuk and ride through Khari Baoli, Asia's largest spice market which has existed since the 17th-century. Get hands-on information about the wonderful world of spices and their medicinal and health benefits. Build up your appetite as you take in the enticing sights and smells before stopping for a quick snack at the famous Chandni Chowk.  Head to your next stop, Gurudwara Sis Ganj, a significant prayer house for Sikhs. Spend some time interacting with locals and try your hand at langar, the community kitchen service. End the tour at Jain Mandir, home to a charitable hospital for birds. Learn about the tenets of the Jain religion before being returned to your initial meeting point near the Red Fort.

This was a fantastic trip. We saw things that we would not have seen had we been on a bigger trip. The visit to the Hindu feeding rooms were amazing. Our guide, Avez was amazing. He was so knowledgable and his English was exceptional. He also had the patience of a saint. I highly recommend him.

Guide, Shamin, was wonderful. I actually had an Old Delhi tour previously and can say that Shamin’s was more thorough, personalised and enjoyable experience. He gave a great introduction and outlined and explained guidelines and history clearly throughout. Very important for a solo female tourist. I felt he showed me the real Delhi and answered all of my questions expertly and made sure I felt happy and safe the entire time. He was also very polite and courteous. Would recommend him to small groups as he explained he could tailor the tours easily for those wanting 1:1, free time to explore, photographs, to visit different places etc., Note: rickshaw driver will probably expect a tip but this is personal choice.

A great experience where the guide took us to many different places, also places that were not mentioned under the tour description, but that he thought would be nice for us to see. Our guide Kaif was amazing, and definitely did his part to make this tour fantastic. Although we were technically clients, it did not feel as that, as Kaif was super welcoming and friendly, and willing to answer any of our many many questions. In general it was a great experience, and I can highly recommend it. It's a great way to get a sense of the city, without being overwhelmed by everything this beautiful chaotic city has to offer.
