Full description
This tour gives you a great introduction to the authentic old world charms of Delhi and helps you escape the nuisance of walking amongst the traffic. Meet your guide at the meeting point near Red Fort, then climb into a tuk-tuk, a modified version of the cycle rickshaw. Sit back and enjoy the views as you ride past the several colorful and busy bazaars of Old Delhi while your guide explains the important role that they play for the locals.  Your first stop is Jama Masjid, India's largest mosque. Spend some time walking around the red sandstone courtyard and if you are lucky, you can even climb up a minaret to see the views. Return to your tuk-tuk and ride through Khari Baoli, Asia's largest spice market which has existed since the 17th-century. Get hands-on information about the wonderful world of spices and their medicinal and health benefits. Build up your appetite as you take in the enticing sights and smells before stopping for a quick snack at the famous Chandni Chowk.  Head to your next stop, Gurudwara Sis Ganj, a significant prayer house for Sikhs. Spend some time interacting with locals and try your hand at langar, the community kitchen service. End the tour at Jain Mandir, home to a charitable hospital for birds. Learn about the tenets of the Jain religion before being returned to your initial meeting point near the Red Fort.

Aamir was an excellent tour guide. Absolutely lovely. We only had a few hours to spare and we had a perfectly packaged tour. Aamir knowledge of the area is outstanding. He really looked after us throughout the tour and after with helping us find our way back to our hotel. He went above and beyond! Would totally recommend.

We had a fantastic afternoon with Aamir, where he showed us though rainy old delhi and Chawndi Chick with a megawatt smile. First the mosque, then to the temples where we also saw the chapati making and then on to the spice market and red fort. Energy, passion and careful. Can recommend. Do make sure you wear shoes you can take on and off easily and also limit the amount of valuables you bring.
