Overview
Tour the sights of Delhi on an excursion that combines historic monuments with local color, giving you a taste of the city’s funky and fascinating life. See the Red Fort and India Gate, as well as the Lotus Temple and the market of Dilli Haat.
What to Expect
Delhi is as fascinating as it is funky and on this private full-day tour you will see some of the most significant monuments and get a taste of the local life at a rural market. You will be met at your hotel for a pick-up at 09:00 and set off for the magnificent Lotus Temple.

Your guide will give you a brief history of the city as you head for the Lotus Temple, which has now surpassed the Taj Mahal and Eiffel Tower as the most visited building in the world. The graceful flowerlike shape is a Bahá'í House of Worship, open to all religions for worship.

Move on to the tallest minaret in India at the Qutub Minar. The UNESCO World Heritage Site building was constructed in 1192 by Qutub-ud-din Aibak, and is an exquisite example of Indo-Islamic Afghan architecture.

Next you will visit Dilli Haat, a veritable mini India where you will find Indian crafts, cultural activities and delicious food, all at bargain prices. There are approximately 60 vibrant stalls selling crafts, silk items, woolen items, and traditional Indian camel skin footwear. Only a few stalls are permanent, leaving the rest to rotate every 15 days or so.

This is a good place to pick up some souvenirs and pause for the inclusive lunch. You will find a huge variety of different flavors and delightful local food from various regions of India, much of it of a sustainable and eco-friendly fashion.

On the drive back to your hotel you will stop at India Gate, the majestic arch near Rashtrapati Bhawan that was built in memory of the 90,000 Indian solders who gave their lives during World War I.

The driver will also take you on a short visit to the President’s House, Humayun's Tomb and Puraa Qilla to grab some quick souvenir photos.

As a special treat, every guest will receive a souvenir gift; the ladies will get a traditional henna Mehendi drawing on their hands, while the men will get a Puree on their head.
