Full description

At the start of the trip your guide will pick you up from your Hotel at 10:00 AM and in an air-conditioned vehicle. Your Journey starts with a visit to Gandhi Smriti (Gandhi Memorial) where Gandhi spent the last 144 days of his life and where he was assassinated on 30th January 1948. Visit the museum here associated with life and death of Gandhi. Next, Visit the Indira Gandhi Memorial Museum. Indira Gandhi Memorial Museum was the residence of the former Prime Minister of India (First Women Prime Minister of India). It was later converted into a museum. One can see the collection of rare photographs of the Nationalist movement, the personal moments of the Nehru-Gandhi family and her childhood. Continue to Raj Ghat, located on the banks of the River Yamuna. Raj Ghat is a memorial to Gandhi inscribed with the words “Hey Ram” last words uttered by Gandhi. This is the place where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated. Your next and the final stop is National Gandhi Museum which has a rich collection of original books, journals, and documents, photographs, audio-video visuals closely related with Mahatma Gandhi. At the end of the trip, get dropped off back to the hotel or explore the city on your own.

We organized this tour to get more information about Gandhi's life that perhaps in our part of Italy has sometimes been misrepresented. Our guide Animesh was wonderful in explaining his life to us perfectly. The monument and the museum of Gandhi are full of photographs that take us back with a leap into the past and into his life. We also saw the memorial of Indira Gandhi, another wonderful woman who made history in India and of whom we on the other side of the world know little. Our driver Chander is always very courteous and provided us with a clean and comfortable car The organization of Go City Adventures was flawless

Exceptional tour

On our first day in Delhi, we, three women from the US took the Gandhi tour. We loved it, especially taking public transportation and the auto rickshaw through the mad traffic of Delhi. Our guide, Deeepak, was exceptional. He was very knowledgeable and very good natured with the four of us. He took us through the Ghandi museum and inspired us with tales of Ghandi's life. He recommended several books about Ghandi and many activities for us the next day. We were highly satisfied with Deepak and will use him again.

A must tour to know more about "The Great Indian Soul" Gandhi

This is an excellent tour and learned a lot about Mahatma Gandhi. One must do this tour if you wish to know about India's Independence history, Gandhi's role and a lot of information. Our Guide was very knowledgeable and gave us a lot of information that you don't easily get it.He had a good command over the English. Highly Recommended to all.
