It is one of the affordable museums to visit as it has a 50% student discount. the museum has four floors with so much to see. My favorites are the time machine video, golden hat and Nefertiti. There is an audio guide included in the entry ticket that is a useful tool. backpacks and bottles are not allowed into the museum but there are storage spaces available for a fee.

Nice enough! An hour to get an idea is plenty. Make sure to download your entry barcode for scanning before you descend all those stairs and floors like an idiot - like I did … there is no wifi, obviously, in the cave of a building, and in 2022 Germany’s museum as usual has no own wifi. Everyone stood there like a fool trying to argue with the entry guard and getting their tickets to show up on the phone, not only me. The 3rd floor was sadly closed due to a shortage of staff I was being told as it was the day after the long museum night which is ridiculous and standard these days everywhere. Museum is stunning. The buildings in and out alone are actually the grandest and make, for me, after now having been to the Pergamon and the Neues Museum, the greatest sight. Incredibly. Found the floor with the coffins and mummies very stuffy and creepy, also too many people allowed in there. That’s re the Neues Museum, which is the best in my opinion.

The audio guide comes in different languages and was part of the admission ticket, take advantage of it. I came in at 4 pm but had 2:30 pm slot, had no trouble going in. Highly recommend not just to see world famous Nefertiti bust but to see how they restored or reconstructed after WWII damage.
