Amazing way to experience the Abel tasman, we were offered an alternate walk as there was a river crossing on the walk we were due to do, this was much appreciated. We had a beautiful boat trip of the length of the national park followed by approx 2 hr walk from Apple Tree Bay to Anchorage Bay. The scenery on the boat & walking was absolutely stunning. Would thoroughly recommend to anyone who wants to experience the park but only has 1 day!

Beautiful day in the forest not necessarily necessary to do 2h30 by boat we got off after an hour 30 which gave us more time for the hike and picnic the children (10 and 14 years old) were able to swim in torrent bay, provide spare linen, towels, rain and wind clothing in case and for the return by boat. Walk to do

We had a great day out. The Apple Tree Bay to Anchorage walk was lovely and the cruise along the bays was a great taste of the National Park. The walk only took us two hours so we had time for a picnic and swim at Anchorage. The only downside was how busy the boat was for the first section of the cruise, as we didn't realise we were going on the general water taxi rather than a separate boat!
