Get a double dose of Jamaica on a full-day tour of a rum estate and stunning waterfall from Negril. See the scenic and refreshing YS Falls on the southern coast, and sample sweet Jamaican rum at the Appleton Rum Estate.
What to Expect
Located in St. Elizabeth, in the picturesque Nassau Valley, the Appleton Estate Rum tour takes you on a journey through time to learn about the history of rum, and give you an inside look at how the finest rum in the world is made.
Visit the distillery to see the copper pot stills that are unique to Appleton Rum Estate and impart their distinctive character to the rums. Then, visit the ageing house where rums rest and mature in oak barrels. Sample the full range of Appleton Estate Jamaica rums, and enjoy a cocktail in their well stocked bar. Visit the gift shop to purchase some unique Appleton Estate rums, along with a variety of other Appleton souvenirs.
Next, visit YS Falls, and experience the beauty of one of Jamaica’s most scenic waterfalls. Surrounded by lush gardens and magnificent trees, the 7 waterfalls include several that cascade into natural pools. Jump in and cool down in the refreshing water. Lifeguards are on hand to indicate which areas are safe, and a natural pool that is fed by underground and above ground springs is suitable for children and less confident swimmers.
Take advantage of newer attractions at YS Falls, such as an exhilarating canopy ride, and glide over the treetops from the top of the falls to the base. Or try a spot of tubing on the river, and ride the rapids in an inflatable tube.
