1. From Lima: Ballestas, Nazca Lines, & Huacachina Oasis

Start your adventure by departing Lima in the early morning. Travel for around 300 km on the Pan-American highway until you reach Paracas Bay, a very important place for Peruvian history which is full of wildlife.  Enjoy a boat tour to the Ballestas Islands and watch out for birds, sea lions, dolphins, and penguins. Then head to Pisco Airport and take a 1 hour and 45-minute flight over the Palpa desert to see the Nazca Lines. Stop at the Huacachina Oasis, and take some time to eat lunch and walk around. Test your skills at sandboarding for an additional cost or just enjoy free time drinking Pisco Sours. At the end of the adventure, head back to Lima via the same route.

What people are saying about Nazca

It was a blast having Andres as our guide and Aman as our driver. They were a good team and taking care of each other (and us). It was really private and at the end it was like hanging out with friends. We got no hurry doing all the activities and were very relaxed. Optionally doing the sandbuggys and sandboarding, it was really great driving in the dunes during sunset. Andres told us so much about the culture and gave us a lot of tips for our trip. Oh so the pancakes were awesome! But better skip milk and heavy stuff looking forward for the Nazca flight. My wife got dizzy and changed the color. For me it was great. It is a bit exhausting and you might take it easy on the next day. It is great for the start of your trip because the jetlag will help you get up early and you will get lots of inside tips for your journey.

We had an amazing time with our tour guide Aymen. I am still buzzing over the great time we had today. at Ballestas we saw a whole bunch of different birds, little penguins, sea lions and even dolphins (apparently very rare). I am still buzzing over seeing the Nazca lines as it was on my to-do list for so long. Finally we went to the Huacachina Oasis where I would recommend getting the upgrade for the sand buggy and sand boarding as it capped off the great day and let us get some sandy pictures of us. Please note that they don't let you drive the buggy, but depending on your comfort level the park driver will make it feel like a roller coaster going over the dunes.

We spent an incredible day in the company of our guides Aymen and Miguel!! It was practically a private tour because it was just me and my husband. The journeys are long, but we take the opportunity to rest and talk. The very beautiful Ballestas Islands, the beautiful Nazca lines, although the flight is strong in turns, so I do not recommend it for people with a weak stomach. The wonderful Huacachina desert, we pay additional for the buggie, sandboard and small boats in the oasis. Highly recommended!!

This action-packed tour was a wonderful way to see famous sites along the Peruvian coast during our stay in Lima. Our guide, Rudi, was very knowledgeable and welcoming, and he graciously accommodated us when one of us chose not to go on the Nasca Lines flight. We enjoyed every stop on the tour very much (including the flight)!

I expected this to be good but not this great. My guides were the best. They really explained me every detail of our tour and made sure it was special. They really went out of their way to make this an unforgettable day. I have 0 complaints. This tour was flawless . Thanks again Amigos!
