Explore the wonders of Naxos island on this guided bus. Visit the valley of Gyroula and marble quarries of Apollonas. Stop at the villages of Chalki, Apiranthos, and Eggares along the way.

Start with pickup from a variety of locations on Naxos and first travel to the green valley of Gyroula. While there, visit the marble temple of the Goddess Demeter, which is one of the most important ancient monuments on the island.

Continue to Chalki village, an ancient commercial center and a place of beautiful Venetian architecture. You can also take an optional visit to a local "kitron" distillery and learn about liquor production, with tastings also included.

Next, explore the village of Apiranthos located at the foot of Fanari mountain. Admire the beautiful views of Venetian Towers, marbled alleys, cozy tavernas, verandas, and traditional tiny shops with local products.

Take a short stroll through the village and hear about its history and traditions. Leaving Apiranthos behind, drive past Koronos village and the famous emery mines, before arriving at Apollonas.

See ancient marble quarries where you can admire an unfinished marble Kouros Statue that is 11 meters tall that is 2500-years-old. Have free time in a picturesque fishing village where you can go for a dip or purchase lunch.

Drive along the west coast, one of the most beautiful routes on the island with an amazing view of the ocean. Reach the village of Eggares and take a guided tour of the small olive press museum. Afterward, be returned to your pickup point.

This was an amazing tour that offered so much insight to Naxos that one would find difficult to achieve just exploring the island unguided. Our entertaining and informed guide not only told us much about Naxos, the locations we visited, and the culture and history of the island, but also recited poetry and explained why one should love Greece and her amazing history. No matter my nationality my soul is Greek and this tour feed my soul.

Great alternative to a rental car - you can see all the important sights of Naxos without the annoying shops that you are often 'hauled' into on other tours. At 30 euros per person, it is significantly cheaper than a rental car! In addition, pick-up service near the hotel, can only be recommended!

Impressed by the value of your daily tours. I certainly wouldn’t have been able to visit all the areas we did as a line traveler. I wish our guide would have chatted more about what we were seeing- sights as we drove were fantastic! Also the stops on this tour could have had a little more direction- lovely girl guide but in villages I’d have loved more guidance- maybe just me. The drivers of every bus I’ve been on need a definite shout out. They are such professional and talented drivers and Many of us on the bus were in off of the challenges that they had but were calm and i was really impressed with their skill.
