Naxos

Explore the wonders of Naxos island on this guided bus. Visit the valley of Gyroula and the marble quarries of Apollonas. Stop at the villages of Chalki, Apiranthos, and Damalas along the way. Start with a pickup from a variety of locations on Naxos and first travel to the green valley of Gyroula. You will visit the marble temple of the Goddess Demeter, one of the most important ancient monuments on the island. The next stop will be the tiny village of Damalas. Learn everything about the old procedures of olive oil production at a restored olive press museum. Afterward, visit a traditional workshop of a third-generation potter and know the secrets of his art dating back to ancient Greece. Continue to Chalki, an ancient commercial center and a place of beautiful Venetian architecture. You will have approximately 50’ free time to explore by yourselves. Don’t miss the oldest distillery of the island – Vallindras distillery - located right in the middle of the village, the sophisticated ceramic art galleries and the cozy shops with souvenirs and local products. Next, make a long stop (approx. 1,5 hours) at the famous village of Apiranthos located at the foot of Fanari mountain. Admire the beautiful views of Venetian Towers, marbled alleys, cozy tavernas, verandas, and traditional shops. Here, you will have free time for lunch – it is highly recommended to taste the local recipes of “rosto” and “kalogiros”. Driving past Koronos village and the famous emery mines, you will reach Apollonas. Get free time at the picturesque fishing village to go for a quick dip and enjoy a coffee or desert by the seaside. End your tour with a visit to the infamous “Kouros”, an unfinished marble Statue of 11 meters, lying in the same spot for more than 2500 years! Drive along the west coast, one of the most beautiful routes on the island with an amazing view of the ocean, and be returned to your pickup point.

On this cruise, depart from the small pier in Agia Anna. Arrived at Kato Koufonissi, a heaven on earth with beautiful views. A Greek BBQ with local wine will follow (vegan/vegetarian options will be available). Get time to swim in the turquoise waters of Small Cyclades. BOAT CAPACITY 100 PEOPLE The standard menu includes salad (tomatoes, potatoes, peppers, and onions), tzatziki (yogurt dip), fresh bread, souvlaki (pork or chicken skewers), and fresh fruits. Vegan menu options include salad, solmadakia (vine leaves stuffed with rice), and gigantes (butter beans). Following a 20-minute sail, arrive at the inhabited island of Ano Koufonissi for a 2.5-hour stay. Explore this little island on foot, full of beaches surrounded by a vibrant landscape and crystal-clear water. Enjoy a Greek coffee at a traditional café, while taking in views of the Aegean Sea. At the end of your third stop, arrive at the amazing natural wonder that is the Rina Cave on the south coast of Naxos. You can choose to jump from the boat or go down by ladder for a swim inside Rina Cave. Climb rocks and explore the landscape. At the end of the day, return to Agia Anna’s port.

Learn about the traditional cuisine of Naxos, Greek food, or satisfy you passion for cooking with a traditional cooking course at a rural village. All dishes are made from local and fresh ingredients and with pure organic products. Learn all the secrets of herbs and aromatic plants. At the end, the cooking lesson turns into a feast as you enjoy the dishes you have prepared, along with local wine and traditional music. The lessons will take place in small or large groups, in couples and families, upon agreement, at the times and days you choose. If you choose to, walk along the river and get to know some of the beauties of the village. Make the most of more than a simple cooking lesson, but a rich experience, as you cut vegetables and fruits from the garden or even make cheese together with the villagers!

Leaving at 09.45 from Agia Anna port and return at approx 19.00. We ll sail along Naxos West coast and in approx 1,5h we ll reach Rina 's Cave. We ll stop there for 1,5 hours where you can swim in the cave ,dive from above if you are adventurous enough,step at the nearby pebble beach with the unique water spring is located.It s a magnificent place approachable only by sea!and we ll have a splendid bbq lunch break wih a variety of delicacies ,home made by local naxian products and plenty of options for vegeterians/vegans accompanied with local wine, water and soft drinks. Next stop ,weather permitted ,will be Kato Koufonisi,the uninhabited island. Next stop will be Ano Koufonissi for a 3hour stop,where you ll be free on your own to stroll in the village,swim at the nearby beaches or get at low cost a sea taxi to take you for a brief visit to other beaches. We 'll depart at approx 17.15 and we ll be back at Agia Anna s port at 19:00

The first stop is Demeter temple, a spectacular recently restored ancient temple from 530 BC. Apart from the impressive monument, you'll have the chance to visit the archeological museum located in the same area, and to check out some findings from the site. Continue the tour to Damalas, a cute little village in the heart of Tragea Valley where you'll enjoy a demonstration at the only remaining traditional pottery workshop and the traditional restored olive press. Then drive to Chalkio, a neoclassical village where you can walk in picturesque alleys, visit the traditional citron distillery/museum, and have an espresso while taking in the classy atmosphere. Head then to the famous village of Naxos, Apiranthos, the “marble village," and stroll down marble cobbled streets and take loads of photos. Drive towards the north part of Naxos island to end up on the northeast edge in Apollonas, a small typical Cycladic village. Have a swim or just relax at one of the cafes by the sea. On the way back, stop by the impressive Kouros, a colossal unfinished statue from the 6th century BC, before returning to Chora, taking in gorgeous views along the way. On Mondays/Wednesdays/Thursdays/Fridays & Sundays lunch break is done at Apiranthos so there s 90' stop at Apiranthos and 45' break at Apollonas while on Saturdays it s the opposite as lunch break is done at Apollonas (90' break) and 45' break at Apiranthos.

Meet your guide at Naxos Bus Transfer Office, right outside Naxos Port and drive directly to your first stop, Demeter’s Temple. Admire the impressive restored sanctuary, take amazing pictures and visit the small on site museum. Next stop will be Chalki village, the old capital and commercial center of Naxos. Get free time (approx. 40’) to explore its colorful alleys, shop unique souvenirs, visit the distillery of “Vallindras” or just enjoy a coffee at one of its cozy cafes. Continue driving through old olive groves and reach Panagia Drosiani, a church of unique architectural style devoted to Virgin Mary- considered among the oldest in the Balkans! Here you will make a short stop to take pictures and if the church is open, also pay a quick visit to admire its unique frescoes. Outside Kinidaros village you will make a short stop by the road to photoshoot the contemporary marble quarries before you reach Flerio valley. Walk through its lush gardens and meet the Kouros Statue, one of the most striking examples of Naxian marble art. The restored olive press museum in Eggares is the best way to end your tour! You will learn about the century-old procedure of olive oil production, as well as taste samples of olive ingredient delicacies. *On Tuesdays and on the 1st of May the Temple of Demeter is closed and instead you will visit the village of Filoti. Walk to its central church and learn the touching story of its construction followed by a short visit to the neighboring folklore museum.

Sail across the Aegean Sea from Naxos and visit the uninhabited island of Delos to explore the most sacred of all the Greek islands from ancient times. Get 3 hours of free time to wander around the ruins and see the excavated artifacts in the small museum. Hire a private professional guide upon arrival if you wish to upgrade your experience, or join one of the guided groups formed on the spot upon landing. Then, cruise to the jetsetter island of Mykonos for a further 3 hours of free time. Use the time to explore Mykonos Town and stroll the pretty alleys of the romantic Little Venice district.  Climb the hill to see the famous windmills up close and get spectacular views of the surroundings. Sail back to Naxos in the early evening at the end of an amazing day at leisure.
